My design after Venere 67.6cm
f'A440 9˝frets 13 ribs
Model HH
This body of this large 10-course lute is closely modelled on the beautiful
instrument by Vendelio Venere of Padua, 1582, no. C36 in the Vienna
Kunsthistorischesmuseum, a plain but elegant lute in nearly original condition. It has a nearly flat fingerboard, and
a treble rider for the chanterelle string.
